Sportico to host Survivor contests during March Madness on RunYourPool and Splash Sports
DENVER (March 11, 2024) – Splash, Inc. the largest independent provider of peer-to-peer sports games in the US with over 2M active users, today announced a partnership with Sportico, the leading sports business news outlet. Sportico will host Survivor contests during March Madness on Splash Inc. subsidiary, RunYourPool.
The free-to-play March Madness contest launched on March 9.
The partnership was announced at the SXSW Conference with Splash Inc. branding displayed on the Sportico podcast stage throughout the entirety of the three-day Sports Track with special live tapings of the Sporticast podcast hosted by Scott Sochnick and Eben Novy-Williams. SXSW has become a go-to destination for global professionals to network and advance their careers, and promoting the partnership during the Sports Track will give sports professionals eyes on both brands.
Sportico is the latest brand to partner with Splash Inc. which allows brands to tap into an audience of over 2M active sports-minded users to increase brand awareness, generate leads, launch products and drive revenue. As brands look to engage with the sports community, hosting a contest on one of Splash’s subsidiaries allows them to reach sports-centric audiences in an authentic way while also connecting further with their existing audience.
“We have had a great relationship with the team over at Sportico over the past couple years, and we are thrilled to continue building a partnership that bridges the gap between sports gaming and business,” Splash Inc. Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Kyle Christensen said. “SXSW Sports Track is the perfect place to talk about the partnerships and show off our work, and we’re excited to help Sportico get in front of our audience of sport enthusiasts.”
Splash Inc. was established in 2021 through the acquisitions of RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool. In 2023, Splash Sports was launched as a peer-to-peer, real-money gaming platform built for friends and groups who share a passion for sports to compete against each other instead of the house. Splash Sports offers a variety of sports strategy games, such as Tiers, PickX, and Survivor. Contest organizers, known as Commissioners on the platform, have the ability to earn revenue for hosting a contest.
